SMS Coaching is seeking to appoint an Learning Support Worker to join their friendly and dedicated staff working with young students with SEMH needs and some challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be able to support with English and Maths tuition up to Level 2 (training available) as well as pastoral support.

Essential:

· Previous experience working with children or vulnerable people

· Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (must have or be willing to have business insurance)

· Computer literacy

· Good interpersonal skills

· A kind, compassionate and professional approach

Desirable:

· Thorough knowledge of the requirements for safeguarding vulnerable children

The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, an employment background check, satisfactory references and verification of right to work in the UK.

Location: We have offices in Stockport and Failsworth. The successful applicant may be required to drive in the Greater Manchester area.

Position: Learning Mentor

Salary: Up to £22,000pa (depending on experience)

Contract type: Temporary but may become permanent

Hours: 8:30 to 4:30
