Assistant Psychologist

Full Time - 37.5 Hours Per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join Kirklees Community Learning Disabilities Team.

You will join an experienced, well-established MDT based in Dewsbury, which includes Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, LD Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Therapy Assistants and Healthcare Support workers. The Team works together to support adults over 18 with diagnosed learning disabilities and their families/carers.

The post will be supervised by a Clinical Psychologist and involve direct assessment, formulation and intervention work with service users, and indirect work with carers and staff teams. You will be involved in audit, service development and clinical governance. We have close links with the Clinical Psychology doctorate course at Leeds and we regularly take trainees on placement.
