Warehouse Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for an established warehouse operative to join our team within a busy and well-established manufacturing business based near Sheffield city centre.

The ideal person will be experienced working within an industrial environment and be eager to learn and develop skills with sheet metal and machinery.

The Role

As part of the warehouse team the duties will include:

· Picking and Packing Orders

· Loading Vehicles for Transport

· Handling Incoming Deliveries

· Managing Stock

· Dealing with Customers

· General housekeeping

In addition to the above we would look to provide ongoing training to develop skills working with sheet metal and various items of machinery used within our production process.

The person

We are looking for someone who is highly organised with a keen eye for detail and takes pride in ensuring orders are sent correctly first time.

A full driving licence and experience driving a counterbalance FLT would be advantageous.

Due to the nature of the work and environment a strong awareness and understanding of health and safety procedures along with a good level of fitness and the ability to carry occasional heavy loads is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.18-£11.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sheffield: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
• Forklift Licence (preferred)
