Motorhome Technician

Salary: Based on experience

Location: Portsmouth, UK

Hours: 5 days per week covering Monday – Friday (8:00-17:30) with room for flexible overtime.

Southdowns Motorhomes have a vacancy for a Motorhome Technician to join our team. If you have a previous experience in either the motorhome, caravan or marine industry this would be an advantage. However we are open to any applicant who possesses previous technical backgrounds in gas/heating engineering, plumbing, carpentry and/or electrical including 12/24 volt and 240 volt systems.

The position:

The position of Motorhome Technician is a full-time role involving a variety of responsibilities. The successful applicant for this role will be highly motivated and have an excellent attention to detail when working on vehicles. You will be expected to work to high standards, and carry out all aspects of habitation servicing, pre delivery inspections, fitting accessories and diagnosing faults. Being multi skilled is essential.

The role also includes:

• LPG installation, checks and repair.
• Internal woodwork installation and repair.
• 12 and 240 volt installation and repair.
• Warranty diagnosis and repair.
• Heating system diagnosis and repair.
• Water system repair.
• Installation of Motorhome accessories.

• Willing to undergo further training when necessary.

Free parking is available on site.

Candidates must be fluent in English, German is also advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Driving Licence (preferred)
