Housekeeping Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and motivational team player to join us as Housekeeping Assistant at Craven Nursing Home.

As a Housekeeping Assistant you will assist with the housekeeping and laundry service within the Home ensuring a high-quality and comprehensive service is maintained and delivered to our residents.

The key responsibilities of our Head Housekeepers include:

• Plan your day as directed by the Head Housekeeper as part of the housekeeping team, performing cleaning tasks and using materials as directed, ensuring that all cleaning duties undertaken are carried out effectively and appropriately including:
• vacuuming, carpet shampooing and washing floor areas stairs and lifts.
• cleaning toilets, baths and washbasins, providing adequate supplies of toilet rolls, soap and hand towels.
• cleaning windows, paintwork and walls.
• thorough cleaning and sanitation of vacated rooms ready for new Residents
• removal of rubbish and clinical waste to the appropriate storage areas
• use of industrial washing machine and dryers, and other laundry equipment
• Ensure that you understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, to ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition
• Ensure all COSHH regulations are adhered to and that you are up to date for the products used within the Home
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with all residents, family, visitors and colleagues.

Working 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include alternate weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.65 per hour
