Laundry Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Squeaky Clean Cornwall are looking for a laundry assistant to join our small, fun and friendly team. This will be on a temporary contract until October, but there is potential that this could extend.

Squeaky Clean Cornwall are a local, family business with a team of fantastic people. We provide a quality commercial linen service to guest accommodation in the local area.

The role will involve:

• Working as part of a small team to wash, dry and iron all linen to perfection using commercial machines
• We provide a linen hire service as well as launder of customers own linen. It is vital that customers linen does not get mixed up with other customers linen, or our hire linen
• Ensuring all linen meets quality control and checking for stains etc
• updating our system to ensure all orders are recorded correctly
• Ensuring stock levels are adequate
• Ensuring the workplace is clean and tidy
• Making up the relevant property laundry bags (both hire and customer own) once linen has been washed/dried and ironed and ensuring this is always completed on time
• Assisting our cleaning supervisors with set up of cleaning materials for the cleaning team - i.e. filling up cleaning bottles etc.

Candidate Requirements:

• A fantastic team player who works alongside their colleagues, but also the ability to work independently
• Previous cleaning laundry would be preferred, but we are able to provide full training to those without experience that are eager to learn
• A can do attitude and able to 100% commit all effort into your working day
• You must be able to consistently provide exceptional standards
• Reliability and a willingness to do a great job
• Excellent attention to detail
• Friendly and confident with great people skills. You must be comfortable and confident with people
• Working days can be discussed, however Saturday availability would be essential.

Salary: £10.18-£10.42 per hour
