General Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Stephens Catering Equipment are industry market leaders with 50 years of experience in delivering innovative food service solutions for our clients. We are currently looking for General Operatives to become part of the Fabrication Team who are responsible for manufacturing commercial catering equipment. The Fabrication Team are based at our headquarters in Broughshane.

Hours of work: 40 hours (4 Days Week)

Salary: Competitive

Employment Type: Full-time Permanent with day release

Main Duties:

· Reading and taking measurements from plans.

· Operating fabrication machinery including Bandsaw, CNC punch, Press brake, Guillotine etc.

· Verifying parts and products for errors/faults and taking steps to resolve these.

· Learning and following production procedures and processes.

· Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.

· Working in a team and build professional relationships.

· Any other duties in line with the production process.

Essential Criteria:

· At least 1 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.

· Ability to meet set productivity targets and delivery dates.

· Ability to work safely, quickly and to a high standard.

· Excellent time and attendance record.

· Self-motivated, keen to learn and an excellent attitude to work is essential.

· Adherence to health & safety rules including appropriate use of PPE.

· Full clean driving licence.
