Role Overview & Responsibilities

Sweet Spot is a small franchise which is creating loyal customers around the UK and abroad. Unlike other bigger franchises we enjoy greater freedom and are able to adapt to local needs and demographics.

Here in Eastbourne Sweet Spot we are located in Terminus Road in the pedestrian zone and expecting to have a very busy summer. We are working hard behind the scenes to make this the best dessert place in Eastbourne.

What do we sell?

Our menu items are a bit more than just another dessert place.

We will do the very best Waffles, Cookie Doughs, Churros, Milkshakes, Artisan Gelato Ice cream, Soft Scoop Cone Ice cream.

We are partnering with the Trading Post Roasteries to offer freshly roasted coffee and we will also have amazing teas, cakes and pastries. Our biggest surprise star will be the hand made roller ice cream which I believe is a first in and around Eastbourne.

So if you have the sweet tooth, you're looking at the right place.

What to expect?

There will be lots and lots of training before opening and during the soft opening weeks. Don't worry if you miss any training shifts you can catch up on your next shift. All training shifts are also fully paid. You will focus on serving great desserts, maintain a clean and tidy workplace, embrace our values and deliver great customer service. Once you are fully trained you will be able to make all menu items, serve all types of barista coffee, take orders and serve customers and all other general tasks.

What do you need?

Prior experience in Coffee shops, fast food and dessert places are preferred but not necessary. You must have a great work ethic, willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards work and your colleagues. Everything else we can teach you. We will expect you to maintain consistent attendance and be punctual.

You will get a free dessert and drinks during your shift. You will also get a staff discount of 25% whilst off shift which you can extend to your close friends and family. There is a limit on the discounts but we trust you to be reasonable.

Part-time hours: 20-48 per week

Salary: £7.50-£10.50 per hour
