Care Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Due to increased demand, we have current vacancies for Care Assistants to cover days and/or night shifts in various Care Homes in Elgin. Full training will be provided. Previous experience, SVQ qualification and licence are an advantage.

NOT currently accepting Tier 2 Sponsorship applications

Candidates must have a genuine interest in working with an elderly client group and have a caring and empathetic nature with excellent communication skills.

Duties Include:-

· Maintaining all personal hygiene needs such as, washing/bathing, showering/dressing.

· Attending to incontinence such as toileting

· Promoting nutritional needs such as assisting with food/fluid requirements

· Assisting and promoting mobility by helping with mobility and transfer needs as per individual’s documented mobility plan and requirements, using hoists if required.

· Provision of spiritual/emotional support

· Engage and encourage Service Users to participate in meaningful activities

· Update relevant documentation and individual personal care plans as required

· Efficient communication with Nurse in charge and other staff regarding any changes or concerns.

Salary: £11.25-£13.00 per hour
