Role Overview & Responsibilities
Opportunity to join the team at our award winning Boatyard Studio!
The Boatyard Studio is open two evenings per week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) from 4pm-8pm. We tutor young people aged 10-25 in traditional and digital arts, primarily film, photography, and music. The bespoke tuition we offer young people includes:
Film- filmmaking, use of equipment, audio capture, image editing (Adobe Premiere)
Photography- digital photography, lighting, image editing (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop)
Music- guitar, bass, drums, singing, songwriting, DJing (Pioneer/Serato), recording, digital music production (Steinberg Cubase)
We are looking for a suitable candidate to work alongside our experienced Studio Manager/Lead Tutor. Ideally we're looking for a candidate with experience in traditional/digital arts, familiar with several of the disciplines listed above, and a portfolio of work to reflect this. Some tutoring experience is desirable but not essential as this is a trainee role.
This is a 1 year fixed-term contract to cover maternity with potential to extend.
Working hours will be 3.30pm-8.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays.
Salary between £10.50 and £11.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
