Psychiatric Fellowship Programme for International Medical Graduates

The programme is an innovative and structured three year sponsored scheme that supports suitably qualified doctors to advance their existing clinical and professional skills and receive valuable clinical experience with excellent supervised support.

The programme will support applicants with an interest in General Adult, Old Age Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health or Forensic Mental Health in a variety of locations throughout the North East of England and North Yorkshire. Successful applicants will receive support from a dedicated educational supervisor, a consultant psychiatrist and continued interaction with peers across the wider multidisciplinary teams and the Faculty of Medical Education.

Colleagues who join the programme will likely move onto preparation for our CESR programme, continue working at Specialty doctor level within the Trust with all of the support and development opportunities available, or alternatively consider applying for higher training.

This unique opportunity is for individuals that have a minimum of three years experience in Psychiatry and who are active in clinical practice undertaken in the last 12 months. Successful candidates would be holding a recognised postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry along with an ambition and drive to succeed.
