Seasonal Ecologist
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Are you reliable, motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for ecology? If so, please get
in touch! We are looking for seasonal surveyors to support our National team of
ecologists as they deliver field surveys throughout spring, summer and autumn across
the UK.
Your role will be to assist our highly skilled ecologists as they undertake a range of habitat and protected species
surveys including bats, reptiles, amphibians, otters, barn owls and a whole lot more. This is a great opportunity to
develop your field craft and consultancy skills, whilst earning extra money and gaining experience as part of a
professional team in the great outdoors. Some of these roles may also go onto full-time positions. We offer a variety of hours to suit individuals including full and part time or variable weekly hours.
- Have an understanding of the principles of ecological survey and mitigation work
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and early mornings, often before dawn
- Be willing to travel for work (associated travel expenses will be paid)
