Cafe Team Member

Part-time or full-time position on a permanent basis. This position would not be suitable for applicants in full-time education.

As a Baked Potato Café Team Member your key responsibilities will be, greeting customers, operating the till, accepting cash & card payments and answering the telephone, preparing and serving customers with food and beverage orders and maintaining food hygiene & cleaning standards in a fast paced, customer focused environment.

Successful candidates must be, friendly, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills. Calm under pressure and the ability to work well as part of team in a busy environment. Similar food service experience preferable but not essential, training will be provided.

General Role Expectations:

• Demonstrating the highest standards of customer service and care when greeting customers, answering the telephone and serving orders
• Fully understanding the products and services the company can offer to help customers with their questions
• Ensure that customers are satisfied with their visit to encourage repeat custom
• Fulfill cleaning duties daily including washing dishes, cleaning toilets, mopping floors and completing general housekeeping duties
• Operating the till by accepting cash and card payments accurately and be vigilant for fraudulent payments
• Handling customer complaints in the first instance and reporting feedback to the Managers
• Helping maintain adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables
• Comply with Company policy regarding personal appearance, personal hygiene and uniforms
• Working within established guidelines and operating procedures
• Ensuring compliance with all legislation, H&S and food hygiene
• Available to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: £5.28-£10.42 per hour
