Counsellor, Psychotherapist or CBT Therapist

Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Edinburgh Counselling Service is looking to hire another self-employed counsellor, psychotherapist or CBT therapist. The candidate would be required to work from our city-centre office located at Citibase, 1 St Colme Street. Interviews will take place on a rolling basis. The anticipated start date is flexible, although we anticipate that it will be April 2023.

The successful candidate would be provided with client referrals as well as a comfortable working environment including reception, administrative support, a lovely counselling room, therapeutic tools, tea and coffee.

This role would pay £40 an hour for individual counselling, and £55 per hour for couples/ family counselling. Working hours are approximately 9am to 2:30pm, or 3pm to 8pm.

We are looking for counsellors to work a mixture of the following:

• Tuesday AM
• Wednesday AM
• Thursday AM
• Friday PM
• Sundays (AM or PM)

Counsellors are able to choose when they would wish to work during these timeslots. There is a possibility that more shifts would become available in the future.
