Our customer is provided engineering, testing and repairs for the rail industry for over 30 years. With 30 members of staff they are looking for a Production Operative to join their team.
Working in a production team the purpose of the role is to Assemble, Test, Rework and Overhaul basic and complex Safety Critical Electronic / Electrical Equipment used in various industries in accordance with the companies’ policies and procedures including customer specifications.
Key roles & responsibilities:
· Assembly, Test, Rework, Overhaul and Inspection of Electrical/Electronic equipment to IPC610 standard.
· Cable Assembly to IPC620 standard.
· Ensure work is completed on time and in line with customers’ requirements.
· Be flexible to work in other departments as required.
· Liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers as appropriate.
· Training and mentoring of others as required, e.g. trainees and apprentices.
The candidate
· Electrical & Electronic Assembly & Rework experience.
· Understanding of standards ISO9001, IPC610 / 620 & 7711/21.
· Soldering/Desoldering.
· Wiring.
· Self-inspection.
· Computer literate.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
