Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Title: Barista/Allrounder

Job Summary: The Highland Weigh is seeking a Barista/Allrounder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages, as well as providing exceptional customer service. This role will also include assisting other general duties as required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages.
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive customer experience
• Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, including the coffee bar, kitchen, and seating area
• Assist with delivering orders to tables.
• Perform general cleaning duties, including washing dishes and wiping down surfaces
• Stock and replenish inventory as needed, including coffee beans, milk, and other supplies.
• Follow health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
• Participate in training and development opportunities as required.

Desirable:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
