Role Overview & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Assist the Building Services Manager in developing and implementing strategic plans for building services and facilities management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of building services.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the condition and performance of building systems, identifying areas for improvement, and taking appropriate action.
  • Assist in the management of maintenance schedules, ensuring the availability of necessary resources and equipment.
  • Oversee the coordination of repairs and maintenance work, ensuring minimal disruption to building occupants.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Support the implementation of energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports related to building services.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in building services management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications in, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related field. NEBOSH qualification an advantage.
  • Proven experience in building services management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and L8 Water Management.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using computer-aided facilities software (CAFM) and building management systems (BMS).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
