Role Overview & Responsibilities
The IPC is looking to appoint a new Social Media & Communications Executive to join our busy team in Macclesfield.
This is an exciting opportunity that would be ideal for a graduate with strong writing and communication skills.
The position is based at our office in Macclesfield. This is a unique role where the successful applicant will play a key role in increasing the IPC presence in the sector and beyond.
In return the successful applicant will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, and the chance to work in a professional but fun working environment.
As a Social Media & Communications Executive you will be reporting to the Operations Manager, responsible for supporting the team raise awareness and profile of the organisation, communicating the vision and developments effectively to a wide audience. Duties will include but are not limited to;
- Monitoring and providing internal reports on parking-related social media commentaries.
- Creating and managing content and developing the reach for the IPC’s social media platforms.
- Developing and delivering periodic social media campaigns to support the work of the IPC.
- Contributing content and working with the IPC’s Design Executive to coordinate production of Annual Reports, Industry Updates and promotional materials.
- Drafting and distributing correspondence for IPC members and other stakeholders, using Mailchimp.
- Drafting content, production and meeting rigid deadlines for the IPC monthly newsletter.
- Drafting and delivering communication bulletins for IPC members (from IPC initiatives to DVLA updates and new legislation).
- Miscellaneous internal and external communication activities to support the work of the IPC’s Chief Executive, Senior Operations Manager, Membership and Operations Manager and Interest Group Manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Macclesfield: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Public relations: 1 year (preferred)
