
Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
Role Overview & Responsibilities

Responsibilities
· Perform reconciliation for multiple bank and loan accounts. Enter daily banking transactions, review statements, and reconcile discrepancies between bank and book records.
· Process vendor invoices by performing 3-way matching to ensure that invoice details match purchase orders and receiving reports.
· Process payments to vendors and employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Enter corporate credit card expenses and provide guidance to employees for reimbursement process and policy.
· Check vendor invoices, ensuring sales and use tax is accrued accurately.
· Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve any discrepancies with the affiliated companies.
· Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues related to payments or invoices in a timely manner.
· Prepare accounts payable accruals for materials received but not invoiced.
· Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes and increase efficiency.
· Assist with audit and bank examination related to accounts payable.
Requirements
· Minimum of 3 years of AP experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
· Proficiency in ERP software, MS Excel and Outlook.
· Demonstrated ability to partner with purchasing, shipping, stockroom and other departments.
· Strong communication skills with an ability to work with vendors as well as with various levels of employees.
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to operate with consistency in a fast-paced environment
· Centralized AP experience preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
