Warehouse Operator/FLT Driver

Alfreton

£11.91ph + 10% (£13.10)

Overtime @ 1.6

Working Hours – Rotating Shifts

06:00am – 14:30pm

14:00pm - 10:00pm

Main Purpose of Job:

Responsible for the careful handling, storage and movement of goods, and ensure they are delivered to the customer on time and in full.

Role Responsibilities

Ensuring the notification of orders is actioned efficiently

Pick products from stock with speed and accuracy

Wrap and label pallets carefully

Load product onto loading bays using appropriate equipment

Complete associated administration and update company systems

Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently as required

Complete small fabrications

Movement of finished goods stock from production into warehouse

Negotiation for the best transport delivery and collection prices

Cover production general operative duties if required

Prepare raw materials for production to ensure adequate quantities

Prepare paperwork for mould dispatch

Attach mould to pallet if required

Ensuring house-keeping and safety procedures are followed at all times

Carry out stock-taking activities as required

Assist other warehouse personnel as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Must hold a current counterbalance fork lift truck license

Experience in a similar role involving manual handling

Basic computer literacy (experience of WMS and ERP system desired)

Knowledge and experience of warehouse operations including safe vehicle loading / unloading techniques.

Core Competencies

Communication – ability to communicate at all levels either verbally or in writing, with good English language skills and numeracy

Quality – ability to complete work accurately with good attention to detail

The role requires manual dexterity and physical capability

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
