Job Title: Team Member

Location: The Bagel Shop, The Arches Beach Cafe and Takeout, The Summer Shop, and The Eatery, Sidmouth

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Team Member to join our team across four businesses: The Bagel Shop, The Arches Beach Cafe and Takeout, The Summer Shop, and our new store, The Eatery. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, handling cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Take customer orders and prepare food items, such as bagels, sandwiches, salads, and beverages
• Operate cash registers and credit card machines to process payments accurately
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the cleanliness of the food preparation and service areas
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking the work area
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are running low
• Answer customer inquiries and provide information about menu items and daily specials
• Maintain a clean and organised dining area, including wiping down tables and chairs and removing trash
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and timely service
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service or customer service role is preferred, but not required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work in different locations and across different businesses
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
• Basic maths and cash handling skills
• Willingness to learn and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: £6.00-£11.00 per hour
