Poultry Farm Worker

Role Overview & Responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen for a poultry farm worker to assist the management team on a modern 6 shed Broiler Farm based in Herefordshire

Whittern Farms Ltd is a family-owned farming business, Owned by the Hilditch family since 1870, spanning over 652 acres. Our main enterprises are broiler chickens, blackcurrants, cider apples, arable, holiday lets and renewable energy.

This is the ideal opportunity for a committed, energetic, self motivated individual who wishes to gain practical experience within the poultry industry.

Good hourly rates of pay above the national living wage, working hours can be tailored to suit the candidate, ability to work some weekend days is required.

The Responsibilities

Assisting the site manager with day to day aspects of running the farm

Ensuring high welfare of livestock.

Basic record keeping.

As the ideal candidate you will :-

· Work well with others and have a good command of both spoken and written English.

· Have a good level of physical fitness and ability to carry out manual duties.

· Have a full UK driving license.

· Telehandler experience (not essential)
