Role Overview & Responsibilities

Over 20% of our workforce started with us as an apprentice, progressing through the business - a statistic we are hugely proud of.

At Thorpes Joinery, we actively look to employ new apprentices throughout the business every year, providing an opportunity to start their journey in the world of construction.

We are hugely proud that many apprentices choose to remain with us after gaining their qualifications, it is a key part of our culture to promote from within and to that end, we are delighted that we have former apprentices in positions throughout the company, from highly-skilled bench joiners, to our project management department, all having grown and developed their skills as part of our team.

Why Choose an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship represents an excellent way to begin working life, learning and developing your skills as well as offering the opportunity of formal qualifications - all whilst earning a wage.

The benefit of real, hands-on and practical experience in a fast-paced working environment cannot be understated and learning from our experienced team will provide you with knowledge and skills to develop your own career in construction and beyond.

Thorpes Joinery are currently recruiting for two apprentice joiners, to work with us full-time in our Market Harborough facility, starting in August.

We are looking for able and enthusiastic individuals who can become part of a large team, working on a number of the country’s most prestigious projects for a host of household names.
