Role Overview & Responsibilities

Three Chequers Medical Practice have an exciting opportunity for a Phlebotomist to join our expanding nursing team. The post-holder will provide accessible, prompt and professional health care for patients attending our Surgeries.

Location: Salisbury City Centre, Winterslow and Porton.

As a Phlebotomist, you will be working under the direct supervision of the Senior Practice Nurse and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols. The post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP or Advanced Practitioner.

The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and enjoy helping to raise awareness of health and well-being to our patients. You will need to have an understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality. For this position, you will need to have a full clean driving licence with access to a car as you may need to work at our branch sites.

This is a part-time position, however if you are interested in this role and the Treatment Room Assistant role - there is the possibility these 2 roles can be joined together to create a full time or 3/4 time role.
