Test Analyst

Test Analyst that will be responsible for Test Automation, Test case analysis with version management, Defect tracking and Reporting.

• Produce Test Plans linked to requirements
• Produce Test Scripts for functional, integration testing of applications.
• Prepare Test Cases and manage the allocation thereof
• Produce Test Automation scripts - minimum low code , advantage if code based.
• Migrate manual test cases to an automated testing platform
• Responsible for maintenance of automated and manual test cases and scripts.
• Produce and present test and quality documentation for quality reviews.
• Provide time and effort estimates for testing activities.
• Demonstrate testing knowledge and experience by assessing desired outcomes and testing techniques to be utilised.
• Produce Test evidence report for each defect found, and in some instance record successful test evidence as well.
• Takes responsibility for all phases of testing and the management of the testing activities within a project.
• Communicate all risks associated with the testing.
• Manage defects through defect management best practise and documentation as per IEEE829 standards.
• Raise appropriate tickets (JIRA) and manage testing through testing tools
• Engage with developers to track the causes of defects and add to testing scripts any lessons learnt.
• Manage test environment - release note level.
• Identify opportunities to improve the testing process.
• Evaluate service desk and incident reports to add to future overall regression packs.

• ISTQB / ISEB qualified
• Over 5 years software testing experience

• Knowledge and experience with various testing tools and test management solutions such as Jira (with testing plug-ins such as Zephyr), Test Manager, Testlink, QC or similar.
• Knowledge and working experience with various test automation and performance tools such as Selenium, Ranorex, jMeter, Katalon, Postman, etc.
• Writing test cases from requirements and/or design documents

• Experience working within a structured and unstructured test / development environment.
• Detailed Experience testing Web and Mobile applications
• Testing integration layer services such as API (JSON), and other.
• Proven experience in requirement analysis and resulting test case design and execution
• Good communication skills and working with remote teams
• Experience working in Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile methodologies
• Ability to work well on own or as part of a small team and in a mission critical environment.
• A proactive self-starter, gather information from various stakeholders and sources

• Understand customer expectations and requirements to identify proactive testing
• Reporting skills to all levels of management as well as presenting these, both verbal and written.
• Business analyst or previous coding experience
• Professional and positive business manner and behaviour.
• Be able to identifying goals and objectives and aligning outputs accordingly.

• Understanding of Architecture/Solution design concepts around web/mobile applications
• Experience in Transport and/or logistics industry
