Role Overview & Responsibilities

Due to a restructure, we are looking for an HR Advisor to support our colleagues and managers across 2 manufacturing sites in Leeds.

You will work in a team of 2, managing an HR Assistant to provide a full employee lifecycle service to the business. Additional support will be provided as required via an outsourced service.

You will have HR experience within the manufacturing sector, ideally within food and relish the challenges that come with this industry.

Key responsibilities include;

  • To be the first point of contact for Employee Relations advice to managers
  • To coach, support and advise leaders on people policies and procedures
  • To role model and challenge the behaviour of managers to ensure they are fair, consistent and act with integrity
  • To support the managers in recruiting the right person, right skill into the right structure at the right cost
  • To support managers with performance management related issues
  • To ensure auditable employee records at all times
  • To support managers in adhering to HR processes fairly and consistently
  • To manage the occupational health process for all employees
  • To manage the annual audit of the agency providers to ensure legal compliance
  • To lead the Employee Engagement Team
  • To provide weekly management information from a People aspect
  • To co-ordinate all training plans for the business

Generalist HR experience in the Manufacturing sector is a must, along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

The ability to deal with colleagues and managers at all levels of the organisation is required along with being able to manage multiple tasks and projects at any one time. You will be tenacious and resilient, and not afraid to challenge behaviour and practices in a constructive manner.
