The Role

The UK Education Consultancy is looking to appoint enthusiastic English language teachers for the summer period. The candidate will have the opportunity to showcase innovative flair by delivering dynamic and engaging lessons.

We are delivering a four-week summer programme to learners from Kuwait aged 12-17.

Our learners are highly motivated, and your role will be to enable them to enhance their English skills through the delivery of inspiring and encouraging lessons.

Job description

The ESL Teacher is responsible for delivering lessons, in collaboration with the Academic Management Team. The candidate is required to attend a two-day training session on the 10thand 11thof July.

You will deliver up to 20 hours of teaching per week.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver dynamic general English lessons as instructed by the academic lead.
• Follow the scheme of work set by the academic lead.
• Carry out all administrative duties such as register, hand-over sheet, and report any absentees to the group leader/academic lead.
• Complete an individual learner plan at the beginning of the course.
• Administer progress tests and mark them on a regular basis.
• Establish a positive learning environment and rapport with all learners, ensuring that they feel supported throughout their learning journey.
• Liaise with the group leader about any students’ issues.
• Adhere to the safeguarding policies.

Essential requirements:

• CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification.
• A degree (e.g. BA, BSc).
• The role is open only to those with the right to work in the UK.

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
