Key Responsibilities


As a Business Analyst for Ellerman City Liners, you will work alongside the Director of Processes & Systems with responsibility for designing, developing and maintaining business solutions based on our ERP Softship.LIMA.

You will play an important role in the development, implementation and application of innovative methods to efficiently use data for internal and external integration projects and will develop concepts to ensure high standards of data security/quality and protection.

In addition, you will play a central role in the development of data sources and visualisations that serve as the basis for business decisions
  • Responsible for all project deliverables
  • Consults with Business clients to analyse and understand complex functions at the module or system level
  • Plans and coordinates unit, integration, benchmark and user acceptance test plans
  • Translates functional specifications into technical specifications in conjunction with the developers and or vendor
  • Lead problem determination and resolution efforts in order to provide ongoing support to application
  • Leads efforts to implement accepted recommendations
  • Attends training and stays current on new technologies
  • Supports regular & ad hoc requests from Commercial lines of business
  • Develops and maintains reports, models or databases to support the Commercial business lines routine and ad hoc data and analytical needs
  • Conducts in-depth analysis and reports findings to management

Skills Knowledge and Expertise


  • Degree level or similar
  • Experienced in Liner Shipping or Logistics
  • Experienced in program/project management
  • Applications software for liner shipping (ERP Softship.LIMA preferred)
  • Preparing, analysing and exploring data (SQL preferred)
  • Process and workflow documentation (MS Visio preferred)
  • Analysing and visualizing data (DOMO preferred)
  • Reports and dashboards (SAP Crystal Reports, DOMO preferred)
  • Streamlining communication processes for both internal & external (MS Power Automate, EDI &API e.g., Lobster)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Additional web app development skills would be desirable
We are currently setting up our office locations in UK (Liverpool), Germany (Hamburg), Portugal (Lisbon) and in Spain. Living close to these cities would be an advantage.
