Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Painter & decorator to join our company.
General Scope and Purpose:
  • To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.
  • Ensure that painting and decorating repairs to the hotel are completed to an acceptable standard, thus ensuring continuity of service of all facilities within the hotel.
  • To promote the Company Mission Statement through continual demonstration of the Personality.
  • To be driven, focused, committed and have an eye for detail and have a flexible approach to working hours.

Responsibilities:
  • To be fully aware of hotel facilities and activities at all times.
  • To carry out painting and decorating, maintenance work - emergency repairs affecting guest bedrooms and services as directed by superiors.
  • To liaise fully with all departments with regard to maintenance at all times.
  • To deal with emergency requests quickly and efficiently.
  • To check all painting and decorating stocks on a regular basis, liaising with Maintenance Manager for ordering appropriate stocks when necessary.
  • Ensure all security procedures laid down by the hotel are strictly adhered to. This includes the use of a work register for outside Contractors.
  • To follow the company’s Health and Safety policy and to complete all duties on the Health and Safety checklists as soon as possible.
  • Assist with other maintenance duties as required by the Maintenance Manager in order to ensure hotel maintenance needs are met.
  • To be fully aware of and strictly adhere to security procedures required by the hotel and the company.
  • To consistently deliver superior customer service through our Customer Service Programme
  • Attend training when required
  • To be fully aware of and adhere to Health and Safety and fire/bomb threat procedures
  • To be fully aware of and comply with hotel and company rules and regulations as identified in the team member handbook.
