Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job description

Permanent, full time

Huddersfield Business School is seeking to appoint to the role of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Marketing (2 posts), and we particularly welcome applications from specialists in marketing communications and digital marketing.

We provide a supportive learning environment across all levels, from undergraduate degrees through to doctoral qualifications, including HE apprenticeships, and for cohorts based overseas. You should be qualified to Doctoral level (or very close to completion for lecturer) in the appropriate subject area. We are looking for individuals who are engaging teachers, keen to conduct high quality research that will support our ongoing REF expectations, and who can contribute to our consultancy activities and strategic ambitions.

Huddersfield University is an award winning, successful, and modern University. Inspirational and innovative teaching and research is at the core of our vision. Huddersfield Business School celebrated excellent REF2021 results ranking 37th out of 108 in Business and Management for research power. Our mission is to enrich lives, enhance organisations and engage communities through pioneering research with practical application, a philosophy which is at the heart of this role.

The Department of Logistics, Marketing, Hospitality, and Analytics is home to four professorial chairs and a team of over 40 academics who contribute to the three Research Centres in the School. The work of many in the team cuts across disciplines and we welcome interest from candidates with interdisciplinary approaches to contribute to existing areas of research, who will open new avenues of endeavour, and who will support our growing and diverse doctoral research community.

Informal enquiries to: Dr Adam Dennett at A.dennett@hud.ac.uk

If you are a current student at the University, you are welcome to apply for part-time roles of 15 hours or less per week, unless you are a part-time postgraduate student, in which case you can also apply for full time roles, subject to any visa requirements.
