Shift Manager - Alternating Shifts

Role Overview & Responsibilities

An opportunity has arised for a Shift Manager at Valeo Snackfoods, Blackpool manufacturing site.

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 Off, 12 hour nights

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Support the setting up of minimum stocks
• Effective people management
• Log all material shortages in material log sheet
• Sequence production runs to optimize
• Generate weekly plans in sequence and any capacity constraints
• Ensure demand is reflected in plan and highlighting any anomalies
• Updating demand planner daily
• Schedule outloads in line with plans
• Attending production meeting
• Ensure SKU speeds reflective of current run rates
• Continual improvement of the daily/weekly plan
• Ensure any new products follow the new NPD sheet
• Maintain KPI report update for manager (+4 weeks cover)
• Log all material shortages in material log sheet
• FGS to be managed to agreed targets in line with your manager and published weekly

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

• Excellent people management skills within an FMCG environment essential
• Worked with a broad range of SKU’s
• Experience of major retailer audits
• Extensive working knowledge and experience of BRC, HACCP, GMP and QMS.
• Thorough knowledge of the retailer manufacturing standards, and can demonstrate achievement of the highest ratings
• Experience of implementing new systems, procedures and improvement plans
• Thorough understanding and working knowledge of SOP’s and cleaning site schedules
• Extensive experience and understanding of food labelling requirements
