Valmiera Glass UK Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers in Europe of products based on glass fibre.

Overall function and description of the job:

Assist in the day to day running of machines and process requirements within the department in an efficient and productive manner, meeting both quality and operational targets.

Main duties:

• Assist in inspection of treated, coated and greige fabrics in accordance to company inspection methods and procedures.
• Optimise quality standards and maximise efficiency throughout.
• Communicate all faults and production area issues to the shift leader.
• Constantly observe the material on the machines, taking appropriate action when faults are observed in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Make any checks necessary to ensure the smooth running of the machine.
• Make adjustments to machine controls when instructed to do so by the shift leader.
• Loading and unloading material onto machinery, using a hoist as required.
• Ensure that PPE and RPE is used and maintained to a good standard.
• Rotating shift work-3 x 12 hours shift (e.g. 3 days, 3 off, 3 nights, 3 off)

Salary: From £14 per hour

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: One location
