Role Overview & Responsibilities

Role:Business Analyst


Type: Contract;
until end September initially

Start date: ASAP

Pay rate: £23.57/hr via PAYE incl. holiday

Location: Birmingham (min. three days onsite)

Working Pattern: 8am – 6pm; flexible hours to suit business needs

A reputable public sector organisation local to Birmingham are looking for someone to support the IT Business relationship managers in the delivery of digital projects as part of the IT Digital Transformation they are undertaking. This role will focus on defining user requirements, developing workflows, supporting the co-ordination of activities needed to deliver the solution, and managing user acceptance testing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Producing and commenting on complex reports
  • Benefits realisation
  • System and document gap analysis
  • Interpreting data and applying to practice
  • “As is” and “to be” process mapping
  • Stakeholder management
  • Leading on aspects of the clinical governance agenda
  • Teaching and presenting to small and large multi-professional groups
  • Providing advice, instruction and support to all members of junior and senior multidisciplinary staff
  • Supporting the implementation of an EPR system
  • Participation in recruitment and selection of staff if required

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of Business Analyst functions within a healthcare setting
  • Project or change management experience
  • Working knowledge on the delivery of IT based projects
  • Appropriate qualification such as in Business Analysis / Change or Project Management
  • Proven delivery of agreed outcomes
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Understanding of NHS targets and other NHS transformation and improvement initiatives is desirable
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft packages and specific project packages
  • Ability to write clear reports
  • Ability to competently handle and interpret numerical data
