Upto Β£48,000 PLUS upto 10% bonus

39 hours per week - Normal hours of work are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 12:30 pm on Friday

This is a brand new and exciting role for my client based in Stonehouse. Due to growth and increased order volumes, they are looking for an experience Production Manager to join them. They work within a variety of industries including Aerospace, Defence, Automotive and Oil & Gas, and are a world leader in their field with a network spanning 22 countries.

As a Production Manager you will manage all aspects of the Production function for the Stonehouse site. You will be accountable for the effective use of all resources i.e personnel, plant and equipment ensuring they are effectively and efficiently deployed. You will also have some customer support duties.

Please get in touch for a more indepth discussion regarding the duties and responsibilities within this role, however they will include:

  • Managing the production department including overseeing planning of resource, equipment and customer product whilst focused on achieving customer expectations.

  • Lead and motivate the team to meet objectives and targets.

  • Day to day supervision and care of all site personnel in your team including communication, appraisals, training, disciplinary matters, hours and shift working agreements.

  • Delivery of the training and competency plan

  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in key KPI's

  • Championing Continuous Improvement whilst building a Lean culture onsite.

  • P&L responsibilities

  • Overseeing inventory/stock control/subcontract operations

  • Work closely with the maintenance department and Quality Manager

Qualifications, experience and skills required:

  • Degree or above in related discipline or alternative with appropriate experience.

  • Engineering/Process/Manufacturing background in a regulated industry

  • Leadership skills with a customer focused approach

  • Continuous Improvement and Lean toold experience is desirable

  • Knowledge and experience with ASD/ISO accreditations
