Doggy Daycare Chauffeur and Play Group Leader, aka Rascal Wrangler!
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Pet Care Professional to join our team and provide top-notch care for our clients' pups.
Who we are
We are a different breed. Our private “Rascal Ranch” is a 5-acre doggy utopia with agility courses and playgrounds where pups can run, roam, or just relax. We provide a positive socialization environment and help “Rascals” be better k-9 citizens out in our community.
What you’ll make and when you'll work
- Pay between $20 -23/hour based on experience and skillset.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday shifts between 6.5-8 hours per day, between 8am-6:30pm.
- Occasional additional shifts may be required on Mondays or Fridays for coverage purposes.

What you’ll do*
- Transport dogs safely to and from their homes to our Rascal Ranch.
- Ensure the dogs are comfortable and secure during the transport.
- Oversee off leash play at the Rascal Ranch, monitoring for unsafe behavior, teaching doggy manners, engaging the pups though exercise and exploration, and giving them lots of loving attention.
- Take daily pictures of the dogs for their parents.
- Be fun and upbeat to be around and bring sunshine to the work environment.
- Offer teammates help at the ranch or if they reach out for coverage.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and team members.
- Proactively reach out to the owner and offer extra help during times of stress.
- Be punctual and reliable as attendance is crucial to our small team.

What you need*
- Valid California Drivers License and a clean driving record
- Experience driving a van is required, preferably delivery or cargo van
- Strong understanding of dog health and safety
- Punctuality and reliability because we are a small team
- A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in when extra help is needed
- Focus on customer service and professionalism
- Ability to multitask with a high level of professionalism

Essential functions of the role*
- Ability to drive to and from San Carlos and Half Moon Bay daily, using a company vehicle.
- The ability to lift, pull, and push to 50lbs, and handle multiple pets at a time
- The ability to sit and stand for extend periods of time
- The ability to be outside for long extended periods of time, including rain, shine, and high temperatures.

- Business hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 6:30pm. Schedule will be 3 days a week between 6.5 - 8 hours per day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Work Location: Shifts begin and end at the company van in Redwood City, San Carlos or Belmont.
