Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Security Officer at Wentloog Corporate Park (WCP) Cardiff CF3 2ER . The successful applicant will join a small team of an in house operation at WCP this being a large secure site in Cardiff. The role also involves monitoring other site via a CCTV system. The role is a permanent role on completion of a probationary period.. If the role is made permanent there may be an opportunity to gain experience in dog handling as part of your role.

The Main Duties are as follows:

• Traffic Management/ Barrier Operation
• CCTV Operation
• Front of house customer related matters/duties
• Site foot patrols
• Dog Handling Patrol and wellbeing
• Vehicle maintenance and cleaning
• Gatehouse Reception
• External mobile patrols/ mail run
• Tasks as defined by the Security Manager

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• SIA Licence and certificate
• Must hold a full driving licence and reliable mode of transport

Skills:

• Presenting at all times a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence
• Reliable, conscientious with an eye for detail
• Enthusiastic and flexible approach
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £10.75-£12.75 per hour
