Role Overview & Responsibilities

Westdale Midlands Ltd are specialised construction company delivering energy efficient refurbishment works to social housing properties on behalf of councils and housing associations. These works include re-roofing, external wall insulation and replacement windows and doors. We are the main contractor for these works and install virtually all of these works ourselves.

Due to growth opportunities with existing clients, we have a vacancy for a Logistics Manager within the business, to assist the company manage this growth, and ensure that we are procuring the right materials, at the right time and they are in the right place when needed. The successful candidate will coordinate with our project delivery teams to review programmes and schedules of works to enable them to plan procurement and the delivery of materials, whilst dealing with suppliers- existing and new- to cultivate further opportunities, ensuring we are procuring materials at the best price.

The Logistics Manager would be office based at our Coventry depot and be responsible for stock control and ordering materials across a broad range of construction trades. We require a candidate to have strong IT skills to manage contemporaneous stock movement on an IT application, overseeing warehousemen taking in and sending out material deliveries.

Construction trade experience would be preferred, but not essential, but proven track record of using a stock control IT system essential.

A company car is available if required. We are environmentally aware, so we currently provide PHEV or full electric vehicles.
