Role Overview & Responsibilities

Contribute to projects across Engineering and Consultancy Services markets (Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind, Hydrogen and Low Carbon), with responsibilities including:

Providing corrosion and materials expertise at all project and lifecycle stages from Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design, Construction and Operational.

Experience in materials selection and corrosion for the operational assets including knowledge of life extension projects.

Design and review of cathodic protection systems for Jackets, Sub- Sea and onshore pipelines, onshore oil and gas buried metallic structures, concrete cathodic protection.

Coating and painting of offshore and on shore structures

Writing of Materials Selection Philosophies, Reports and preparing Materials Selection Diagrams

Writing of Materials Specification (Coating and Painting, Insulations and Sour materials)

Work experience of the corrosion models (ECE 5, Predict etc)

Work experience of CCS and Hydrogen projects

Writing of material, cathodic protection specifications and cathodic protection design reports

Providing input for costing, procurement, and preparation of cathodic protection job detail for vendor

Representing Company in the client meetings

Liaising with vendors on behalf of clients.

Contributing towards bids and proposals.

Qualification/ Certification: Engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in metallurgical and materials NACE CP Level 2/3 or equivalent Chartered status (or working towards) is considered advantageous. Communication: Excellent oral and written communication and skills. Core Competencies: Proven success in delivering studies and preparing clear, concise reports against time, cost, and quality objectives. Cathodic protection design of pipelines, Tanks, Piping, and offshore structures is required Knowledge of CO2, H2S corrosion, CO2 Dense Phase, H2, MIC and Chlorides degradation mechanisms is required. Ammonia corrosion is considered advantageous. Coating and Painting knowledge is advantageous Self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, and mature approach to work.
