Driver/ Gritting Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE - STANDARD CAR DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED

Saltworks is Northern Ireland's leading winter services provider operating throughout the Province and border counties.

The Gritting Operative will be gritting by various methods either by a spreader off the back of the van as well as walk around spreaders and sometimes by hand in the difficult to reach areas.

This is a seasonal role and candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends as and when dictated by the Met Office weather forecasts.

Qualifications

To apply for our Gritting Operative vacancy, candidates must possess the following:

• Full Drivers licence required
• The Gritting Operative will need to be as flexible as possible as the work will be on a call out basis
• Be able to work nights at very short notice (e.g. called the same day to work that evening)
• Gritting Operatives must be prepared to work over the Christmas period
