Role Overview & Responsibilities

About The Role

We are recruiting for a HSE Manager to join our health and safety team based at our brand new, state-of-the-art factory in Barton-upon-Humber. The role will be Monday to Friday from 07:00-15:30.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide managers and employees with information on legislative compliance, advising on ways of meeting statutory requirements and inhouse HS&E Policies & Practices
  • Provide mentorship and stability to the HS&E department
  • Ensure that risk assessments/safe systems of work requirements are met
  • Proactively work with other areas of the business to develop SHE culture
  • Conduct monthly safety audits, behavioural observations and quarterly safety inspections
  • Ensure operational activities on site are carried out safely and legally
  • Challenge unsafe behaviours and recognising areas of improvement
  • Provide H&S management reports to agreed deadlines
  • Maintain and develop the Health, Safety and Environmental internal standards and control practices throughout the site
  • In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood, and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

About You

Desired Skills & Knowledge:

  • Change Management experience
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or other equivalent qualification)
  • A proven track record of delivering and maintaining Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
  • An ability to develop and adapt strategies to encourage performance
