Junior Frontend Developer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a junior developer to work alongside our fullstack developers, maintaining the various strands of our practice management software. The role is focused on the frontend, with opportunities to diversify in the future.

Working remotely, the ideal candidate is self-motivated, and can work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our practice management software
• Work alongside our fullstack developers to deliver a consistent and reliable web experience
• Implementing responsive layouts
• Write clean, efficient, well-tested and well-documented code
• Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies
• Enthusiastically participate in (or at least feign interest in) discussions on bread making, walking up mountains, and sword based martial arts

Experience:

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a must
• Comfortable with Visual Studio & VS Code on Windows
• Build tools and preprocessors, is greatly advantageous
• .NET, TypeScript, Preact, and SCSS is a plus
• Figma or another layer based design tool would be helpful
• Git version control

Other attributes:

• A good eye for layouts
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong meme game
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
