Role Overview & Responsibilities

Wyman-Gordon is a world leading manufacturer of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defence and energy sectors. Part of the major American corporation, PCC, we are a global manufacturer of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to our prestigious blue-chip customers.

An opportunity has arisen for the position of Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in Livingston. Candidates should be part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ICAS) with at least 3-4 years relevant experience preferably gained within a manufacturing business.

The role will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Cost Accounting function. This to include preparation of accurate costing information to support the pricing of products as well as the production of variable cost information to be shared with the Operations and Senior Management teams, to ensure understanding of the detail behind their costs. The role also involves balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of journal vouchers, material usage and purchase price variances. Prior working knowledge of the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) would also be beneficial.

Candidates must have a successful proven background in accountancy, with strong numerical & IT skills, particularly in Excel (advanced level) together with excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work.

You will need to be organised, confident, energetic and enthusiastic, with a flexible approach to working. You must also have outstanding communication skills, be goal oriented with a positive working attitude.
