Role Overview & Responsibilities

YSA Education are currently looking for qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant’s (HLTA) for 2 long-term roles in an “Good” 3-form entry primary school, based in Smethwick. This friendly and welcoming primary school is based in Smethwick, North Birmingham with excellent transport links by car, train, and bus from most areas within Birmingham.

YSA Education are known to have a strong record of placing many of our HLTA & TA’s into long-term contracts across the West midlands

Role Responsibilities

• Collaboratively working with the class teacher to plan exciting lessons.
• Preparing the classroom, such as setting up equipment for lessons, etc.
• Supporting students of all abilities and needs by providing engaging and interesting work.
• Excellent classroom behaviour management.
• Teaching the class when the teacher is absent.
• Delivering work set by the class teacher.
• Planning and carrying out interventions for small groups.
• Experience of RWI Phonics programme preferred but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £85.00-£120.00 per day
