Role Overview & Responsibilities

Are you a Production Operative/Overhead Crane Operator looking for a good opportunity at a leading Manufacturing company in the Dudley area?

Our client are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Production Operative to add to their production team with an Indate Overhead Crane License and experienced working in the steel industry.

Job Role

• Working in a fast-paced production environment
• Assisting with the movement of sheet metal around the factory.
• Operating Overhead Crane
• Working to productivity targets
• Maintaining a clean working environment on the shop floor
• Assisting with machinery when required around the shop floor.
• Assisting other staff such as welders and fitters
• Working with a range of raw materials

Experience/Requirements

• Previous working experience in engineering/sheet metal environment is essential
• In date Overhead Crane licence.
• Good communication skills liaising with other departments.
• Comfortable with manual handling and can adhere to Health & Safety regulations
• Comfortable with operating the Overhead Crane.

The Package

• 12 week temporary to permanent contract.
• Days 8am - 4:30 pm
• Opportunity to develop in other areas of the shop floor which can then lead to performance bonuses

Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
