Architectural / CAD Technician

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are a successful and long standing business overseeing the planning and construction of lofts, home extensions and basements within the London area.

Due to internal promotions, we are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Architectural / CAD Technician to join our Planning/Design Department. The office is based in Ealing - West London.

The ideal candidate for the role would have:

• Experience working with AutoCad 2D;

• Good knowledge in producing planning and construction drawings;

• Fluent English and excellent communication skills;

• Interest in gaining and supplementing their experience in producing plans for domestic loft, ground floor and basement projects;

• An understanding of building regulation requirements, planning policy and party wall requirements.

The job role and responsibilities will include:

• Site visits and measured surveys;

• Day-to-day management of planning drawings, interfacing with local authorities;

• Liaising with clients, contractors and structural engineers to ensure the project runs smoothly.
