Role Overview & Responsibilities

Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Local London team to work across our portfolio of Programmes, these include our Work and Health Programme, Local London Works and the E Business programme. The role will allow you to work closely with our delivery partners and the wider Local London team to ensure quality and compliance on our programmes. You will do this through monitoring activities, observations, training, and sample checking. You will be responsible for driving continuous quality improvement, enhancing the experience of our residents and supporting our provider to break down health and work-related barriers to support residents into sustainable employment. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in work that supports residents who are hardest hit by the cost-of-living crisis across the subregion.

The outstanding candidate should have experience in preparing for audits, developing processes and driving quality on large programmes. The role requires excellent partnership working and ability to pay attention to detail.

Local London is the sub-regional partnership of nine boroughs: Enfield, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Greenwich, Bromley and Bexley.

This is a hybrid role where staff can work flexibly at home or in the office at Lynton House, Ilford. There will be a requirement to attend external meetings and deliver training across our 9 boroughs.

Travel costs to/from meetings is funded.
