Housekeeping Team Member

Role Summary: Delivering the very best standards of cleanliness and presentation for our guests at all times in all areas of the hotel. Participating in all cleaning tasks as directed by the Housekeeping Lead or Housekeeping Supervisor

Reports to: Housekeeping Lead

Role Responsibilities:

▪ Perform all cleaning tasks across public areas and function rooms & accommodation rooms in a timely manner.

▪ Follow the cleaning schedule and ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard ready for the Housekeeping Lead or supervisor to check and sign off.

▪ Use all consumables, cleaning materials and laundry to the budget provided.

▪ Communicate with the housekeeping Lead or Supervisor the status of the rooms and any reason for delays in completing the room by allocated time.

▪ Report maintenance problems to the Housekeeping Lead or Supervisor.

▪ Recognize the importance of communication, actively participating in daily brief meetings and monthly team meetings.

▪ Promote a positive, helpful service to guests, colleagues, and other departments at all times.

▪ Collect all lost property and ensure it is delivered to the Housekeeping room and inform the

Housekeeping Lead or Supervisor.

▪ Ensure all equipment is used correctly, cleaned after use, emptied (I.e. vacuum’s), filled (I.e.

Chemical sprays) and stored correctly.

▪ Assist with the stocking of each area including cleaning materials, leaving storage areas tidy and ready for use the following shift.

▪ Ensure all chemical and fire/evacuation policies are always followed.

▪ Be responsible and accountable for your own health and safety and that of colleagues, customers, clients, and visitors to the Oxwich Bay Hotel.

▪ Take part in any further recommended training.

▪ Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
