Press Operator - 3 Shifts

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Staff Power Group are currently recruiting for a client in Washington who have a requirement to recruit a number of Press Operatives on a PERMANENT basis.

Our client is a leading independent steel service centre and integrated supplies manager. From their site in, Washington, they warehouse, process and distribute on a just-in-time basis strip mill products, working to the highest quality standards to meet and surpass the requirements of their customers operating across a range of industries.

Positions available but must be able to work 3 shift pattern.

Your responsibilities:

• You need to be enthusiastic and a great team player.
• A desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Following standard working practices to ensure the highest safety and product Quality standards.
• Demonstrating an ability to inspect product to a high standard, whilst meeting efficiency targets.
• Showing flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.
• Suggesting ways for improvement.

Warehouse;

• Loading/Unloading Trailers.
• Booking In/Scanning out Product.
• Basic computer skills.

Machine Operators

• Set up semi-automated machinery, training will be provided.
• Following detailed instructions and logging information on computer system.
• Manual Handling experience would be beneficial, however will be provided
• Using various tools and equipment (verniers/micrometer/hand tools), training will be provided.

6-2 / 2-10 @ £12.32 per hour

10-6 @ £13.42 per hour

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £12.32-£13.42 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
